Your money vs. inflation

With inflation at 1.7% and an average CDA yield of 9.95% at banks for terms over 365 days (BCP, June 2026), the real return of that benchmark is about 8.1% a year. It's a reference average: each institution sets its own rate, so confirm it before you decide.

Frequently asked questions

What people ask us most

Still have a question? Write to us

What is FinanciaMente?

It's a financial education site for Paraguay and the Spanish-speaking world: free calculators, short guides and videos. We don't sell financial products or give personalized advice.

Are the calculators free?

Yes, all of them. You don't need to sign up or share any personal data to use them.

What's the difference between the payment and the real cost of a loan?

The payment is what you pay each month. The real cost is everything you pay back on top of what you received, expressed as an effective annual rate. That's why the loan calculator starts from the amount you receive and the payment.

Where does the Paraguay data come from?

From public sources (such as the Central Bank of Paraguay and each institution's published rates), with the date and a link. Rates change: confirm them with the institution before you decide.

Who is the Prof?
